Donald Trump is well on his way to securing the GOP presidential nomination after a series of big wins on Super Tuesday.
But just two days earlier, John Oliver devoted 22 minutes of his weekly HBO show towards convincing the American public that he’s the wrong choice.
The Last Week Tonight segment goes point-by-point, tearing apart Trump’s reputation and purported business savvy.
“Donald Trump is America’s back mole,” Oliver said. “It may have seemed harmless a year ago, but now that it’s gotten frighteningly bigger, it’s gotten hard to ignore it.”
The clip has racked up more than 53 million views on Facebook since it first aired on Sunday.
“If you are thinking of voting for Donald Trump, the charismatic guy promising to make America great again, stop and take a moment to imagine how you would feel if you just met guy named Donald Drumpf, a litigious serial liar with a string of broken business ventures and the support of a former Klan leader,” Oliver warned.
The talk show host also encouraged his viewers to spread the word via the hashtag, #MakeDonaldDrumpfAgain, which refers to a biographer’s claim that the Trump family originally went by Drumpf, before “the family changed the spelling of its name”.
